I know from experience, running in the sun and warm weather feels absolutely HORRIBLE at the time. But you probably didn't realise how good for you it actually is.

SORRY NOT SORRY

personal trainer post run race who does strength training

It's a tough pill to swallow that the least comfortable conditions are sometimes the ones that bring about the most benefit. Along with the correct strength training, running throughout summer will yield great results! I actually have a strength program for runners currently that is helping people to build the muscles used in running and prevent injuries. Drop me a message if you'd like to give it a go !

I MIGHT SOUND CRAZY BUT HEAR ME OUT...

Exposure to high temperatures can boost endurance, increase ATP production (the fuel for your muscles), improve temperature regulation (for future runs), and speed up recovery!

It is flipping tough...

...but at the end of the day, it's training to make you perform better next time.
